Ae'GuraAlso known as The Island, Ae'Gura has been the seat of power and nobility in D'ni for over 9000 years. First linked to by Ri-Neref and his followers establishing the Great Zero on its top spire under a running water stream from the cavern ceiling, it served as the main location for all major government buildings and the Great Library which was constructed shortly after D'ni's founding.
Notable locations include Kerath's Arch, the Ferry Terminal, Tokotah Plaza, the Museum, the Palace of Kings, the Guild Hall, the Concert Hall, and the Great Library along with both the Jaren and J'Taeri Districts high up on the island's spire. |
K'veerK'veer was the lavish private island-mansion of Lord Rakeri and his son Lord Veovis.
It is shaped like twisting corkscrew of stone with many ornate architectural details puncturing it. At its base is a harbor, Lord Rakeri's Palace and Lab, a water reservoir and after a long set of stairs that spiral around its upper section, a lavish book room and office. During the events of the Fall, Veovis and A'Gaeris used K'veer as their base of operation following Lord Rakeri's death. Veovis ultimately perished here after A'Gaeris was sent to his death by Ti'Ana to a fire Age. Several years later the island was taken up by Ti'Ana's son Gehn as his home where he set about to rebuild the D'ni Empire. Atrus would be brought here by Gehn to aide in his quest until Gehn entrapped him in the ancient circular basement room in order to mend Riven - his Fifth Age. Atrus would be re-imprisoned here almost 30 years later by his own sons until his freedom at the hands of an unknown stranger and subsequently the Averonese who would allow him to access the City once again. Two-hundred years later it would serve as the location of the Keep - an elegant form of Bahro technology - holding the sacred Tablet which held the Bahro captive to the D'ni's will. This is where the Tablet would be given to the Bahro by D'ni Historian Dr. Richard A. Watson. |
